Book airport parking for electric vehicles

Travelling to the airport in an electric vehicle shouldn’t add any extra stress or time to your journey. Rather than factoring in alternative routes to EV charging facilities, airport parking with EV charging gives you a simple way to leave your car and return to a fully charged battery, ready for the journey home.

We offer a range of EV parking options at selected UK airports, combining the same reassurance of secure parking with the added convenience of charging while you're away. That means less time searching for a charger after you land and more time getting on with your journey.

Meet and greet parking with EV charging

Meet and greet parking is one of the easiest ways to park your car at the airport. When combined with EV charging, it gives you the ability to drop off your car at the terminal, and return to a car that’s ready for the ride home.

Terminal drop off:

Drive directly to the airport terminal and hand over your car to a professional driver, allowing you to continue your journey without having to search for a space or make your own way to the terminal from the car park.

Secure car parking:

Your vehicle is parked in a secure facility for the duration of your trip, providing the same peace of mind you'd expect from traditional airport parking.

EV charging while you’re away:

Our EV parking providers will charge your electric vehicle for your while you’re away, so you don’t have to worry about find a nearby charging facility on your way to and from the airport.ur security

Quick return process:

Once you land, your fully charged vehicle is returned to a convenient collection point, helping you get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Park and ride with EV charging

For travellers looking for cheap EV airport parking, park & ride with EV charging is often the most affordable option. You'll benefit from secure off-site parking, round-trip airport transfers and the added convenience of returning to a charged electric vehicle. As these car parks are typically located further from the airport, prices are often lower than meet & greet services.

Free airport transfers :

EV park & ride includes free shuttle buses between the car park and your departure terminal. With regular services operating throughout the day, reaching the airport and returning to your vehicle is quick and straightforward.

EV charging included:

Our EV park and ride providers will charge your vehicle while you're away at no extra cost, which means  there’s no need to factor charging your car into your travel plans.

Safe and secure parking:

EV park and ride offers the same secure parking as conventional airport parking. The car parks are monitored with CCTV, 24-hour security patrols and feature ANPR access, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Airports with EV charging parking

As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, airport parking with EV charging is becoming available at more UK airports. The products listed below combine trusted airport parking with the EV charging.

We currently offer EV parking products at Heathrow, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Stansted, with a choice of park & ride or meet & greet services available across selected locations.

EV parking at Gatwick and Manchester

We don’t currently offer dedicated EV parking products at Gatwick or Manchester Airport, and charging facilities at both locations do vary.

  • Manchester Airport:
There are currently no on-site charging facilities for travellers to use at Manchester Airport. If you’re departing from MAN, be sure to plan your route in advance to allow for charging schedules should you require it.

  • Gatwick Airport:
The airport operates an EV charging forecourt on the airport grounds, that is available to use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

If you drive an electric vehicle, it’s worth checking the latest charging options at your departure airport before you travel. As EV facilities continue to expand across the UK, we’re committed to reviewing new parking products and may introduce dedicated EV parking options across more airports in the future.

EV airport parking FAQs

How does airport parking with EV charging work?

The process varies depending on the type of parking you opt for. With meet and greet, your vehicle is collected at the terminal and parked for you while you’re away. The provider will then charge your vehicle for you while you’re away so that when you return, you’re met at the terminal with a fully charged car.

For park and ride services, you’ll park your own car in a secure car park, ready for the provider to charge your vehicle for you while you make your way to the terminal using a complimentary shuttle transfer.

Can I book a guaranteed EV charging space at Heathrow?

Yes, we have several EV parking providers at Heathrow Airport, including evPark Giant and MBW Meet & Greet. Use our comparison tool to compare prices and product features before you book.

What happens if my flight is delayed and my electric car is on charge?

Professional parking operators understand that flight schedules can change. Many providers monitor flight information and organise vehicle collection and return times accordingly.

When EV charging is included, vehicles are managed throughout the parking process to help ensure they're charged and ready for collection at the appropriate time.

For added reassurance, check the delay procedure with your parking provider when you arrive at the car park.

Are there EV charging options available at all UK airports?

EV charging facilities are becoming increasingly common across UK airports, but availability can vary by location and parking provider.

Dedicated, pre-bookable EV charging packages are currently available at selected airports, including Heathrow, Stansted, Birmingham and Edinburgh. At other airports, charging may be provided through public charging points located within official airport car parks.

Do I need to bring my own charging cable?

In many cases, yes. Some EV parking providers require you to leave your charging cable in the vehicle so charging can take place while you're away. Be sure to check the product details before you travel, and if in doubt, bring your charging cable with you and leave it in the car.
